I recommend only what I would recommend without the commission. If something is bad, I say so - commission or not.

Where I have not been in person, it says so on the place itself. I don't pretend to experience I don't have.

What the site stores

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies and stores nothing in your browser for the purpose of profiling you.

Counting visitors

I count visits myself, from this domain. When a page loads, it sends the page address, the website you arrived from (only its domain name — never the full address, which could contain what you searched for), your country and whether you are on a phone or a computer.

No cookie is set and your IP address is never stored. Visits are counted using a short code derived from your IP and browser with the date mixed in, so it changes every night and cannot be traced back to you or linked across days. I do this because ad blockers hide a large share of visitors from ordinary analytics, and I would rather know roughly how many people read this than not.

Hosting and technical logs

The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. The provider processes the technical data needed to deliver the page and protect it from attacks - typically IP address, browser type and request time. I do not have access to that data in a form that would identify an individual.

Links to other sites

This site links to third parties - booking systems, winery websites, affiliate programmes. Once you click through, their own policies apply, and I have no influence over them.
